Policies and Procedures

Below are Council's Statutory, Community and Administrative type policies and procedures.

Statutory Policies are adopted by Council due to a legislative requirement, or approved by the CEO as prescribed in the relevant legislation.

Community Policies are adopted by Council and have a direct impact on the community.

Administrative Policies are adopted by Council and provide direction for internal management of the day to day operations of Council. These policies don't have a direct impact on the community.

Management Directives are approved by the CEO and provide direction for internal management of the day to day operations of Council.

This policy clearly defines all parties' roles and responsibilities when dealing with customers, and customers' complaints. Each local government must establish a process for resolving complaints by affected persons about failures of its local government business entities to carry on activities in a way that complies with the competitive neutrality principles applying to the activities.
