Rural workers’ accommodation

Use Definition

Means the use of premises as accommodation, whether or not self-contained, for employees of a rural use, if—

  • the premises, and the premises where the rural use is carried out, are owned by the same person; and
  • the employees are not non-resident workers.

Examples:

farm workers’ accommodation

Excludes:

short-term accommodation, caretaker’s accommodation, dual occupancy, dwelling house, nature or rural based tourist accommodation, non-resident workforce accommodation, multiple dwellings
