Non-resident workforce accommodation

Use Definition

Non-resident workforce accommodation means the use of premises for—
    (a) accommodation for non-resident workers; or
    (b) recreation and entertainment facilities for persons residing at the premises and their visitors, if the use is ancillary to the use in paragraph (a).

Examples:

Contractor’s camp, construction camp, single person’s quarters, temporary workers’ accommodation

Excludes:

relocatable home park, short-term accommodation, tourist park

Development Zone

If expanding the total use area of the existing use by less than 50m2 requiring (a) no building work; or (b) minor building work, accepted subject to requirements:

If: (a) for a temporary non-resident workforce accommodation use of less than six months duration; and (b) the total area being used for the non-resident workforce accommodation does not exceed 5000m2, accepted subject to requirements:
