There are two funding programs: the Community Grants Program and Major Events Sponsorship Program.
These are offered in two rounds per financial year:
Round One August 1 to August 31
Round Two February 1 to March 1
Mount Isa City Council is pleased to announce that Round 2 of its community funding program will open from February 1 and closes on March 1, 2022. Applications should be received in full within these dates, with a decision to be made by the elected officials of Council.
There are two programs of assistance available from Council:
· Community Grants Program (up to $5,000)
· Major Events Sponsorship Program
Local community groups and organisations with eligible projects or events which make positive contributions to the quality of life in the local government area of Mount Isa city are encouraged to apply for funding assistance.
Applications must be lodged with Council by 5:00pm on the closing date of each round. Late applications will not be accepted.

Submissions will be collated by the Director of Corporate and Financial Services, with decisions on funding success (and amounts) made at the meetings of the Mount Isa City Council
Local non-profit and sporting organisations that wish to host events or projects which make a positive contribution to the community can apply for resources and services from Council up to a maximum value of $1,000.
Not-for-profit community, sporting groups or not-for-profit early or primary educational facilities may apply for a donation to cover up to 100% of the costs of the Waste Service Charge only, which is applicable to all commercial services provided by Council, and paid for, on Rates Notices.
