This position is responsible for collating, producing and delivering relevant and accurate information in relation to Property Search enquiries, building Certificates of Occupancy and Advertising Sign applications in an effective, accurate and timely manner within the Development & Land Use section. The position is also responsible for digitising hard copy building documentation, including permit files, hard copy building drawings/plans and hard copy building inspection book notices held on Council files. The responsible officer shall carry out all tasks in a manner that ensures appropriate outcomes are achieved whilst maintaining a professional relationship with all stakeholders.

Demonstrated experience in identifying and interpreting development permits for building works and demonstrated knowledge of building standards and legislation.
Demonstrated attention to detail with high level communication skills, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and aerial mapping and accurately identifying land tenure matters.
Demonstrated experience in accurately understanding and applying legal advice to written correspondence.
Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment and unsupervised while managing multiple tasks.
Demonstrated administrative experience and high level of computing skills.
Possession of a current General Construction Induction 'White Card' or ability to acquire.
Must be willing to obtain an Authorised Persons card within probationary period.
Current QLD Driver’s Licence or ability to acquire a licence prior to commencing in the role.
