Temporary Use of Footpath and Public Places

In accordance with the Council's Road Reserve Policy and Local Laws, using Council land and footpaths for temporary events and works may require approval. For example:

  • Raffle Tickets / Car Displays (for Sale) on Council Footpath, Carpark or Park
  • Mobile Food Vans / Medical Service Vans on Council Footpath, Carpark or Park
  • Closing carparks and verge areas adjoining schools and shops for vegetation works / fence repairs / shopfront & awning refurbishment

Fees and Charges

Application fees apply as adopted in the Register of Cost Recovery Fees 2025/26(PDF, 1MB):

  • Non-profit Organisation (Maximum 10 days in a financial year) - No Fee (GST Exempt)
    **IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Includes Not-for-Profit Community, Sporting or Service Organisation as confirmed by Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 (Commonwealth), Certificate of Incorporation or by submitting a signed statement under statutory declaration. Not-for-profit does not include promotional businesses acting on behalf of a Not-for-Profit Organisation**
  • Singular Event - $90.50 (GST Exempt)
