Use Definition
Means the use of premises for—
- (a) training and instruction to impart knowledge and develop skills; or
- (b) student accommodation, before or after school care, or vacation care, if the use is ancillary to the use in paragraph (a).
Examples:
pre-preparatory, preparatory and primary school, secondary school, special education, college, university, technical institute, outdoor education centres
Excludes:
child care centre, home based child care, family day care

If expanding an existing educational establishment requiring: (a) no building work; or (b) building work where the increase in gross floor area is less than 100m2, accepted subject to requirements:
