Use Definition

Means the use of premises—

  • (a) as part of a transmission grid or supply network to—
    • (i) convert of transform electrical energy from one voltage to another; or
    • (ii) regulate voltage in an electrical circuit; r
    • (iii) control electrical circuits; or
    • (iv) switch electrical current between circuits; or
  • for a telecommunications facility for—
    • (i) works, as defined under the Electricity Act, section 12(1); or
    • (ii) workforce operational and safety communications.

Examples:

substations, switching yards

Excludes:

major electricity infrastructure, minor electricity infrastructure
