Use Definition

Means the use of premises for—

  • (a) presenting movies, live entertainment or music to the public; or
  • (b) the production of film or music; or
  • (c) the following activities or facilities, if the use is ancillary to a use in paragraph (a) or (b)—
    • preparing and selling food and drink for consumption on the premises;
    • facilities for editing and post-production;
    • facilities for wardrobe, laundry and make-up;
    • set construction workshops;
    • sound stages.

Examples:

cinema, movie house, concert hall, dance hall, film studio, music recording studio

Excludes:

community hall, hotel, indoor sport and recreation facility, temporary film studio
