Mount Isa City Library has over 1,000 toys for loan under different categories, including literacy, numeracy, coordination, jigsaw puzzles, big toys, games and enriched activity materials, etc.

Toys Policy

Adult full members can borrow toys for up to 2 weeks with a maximum number of three toys at a time. They can be issued on weekdays between 9.30 AM and 5.00 PM, while Saturdays are for reserved pickup only.

Reservations should be made 24 hours before coming to the library to pick up the toys. If the toy being borrowed is still on loan to other patrons, just fill the online reservation and the library will contact you when it's already available.

Any damage or missing piece may lead to a replacement cost.

Taking care of toys

  • Toys and the packaging should be treated with good care and returned to the library clean, dry, and sand-free.
  • Outdoor toys should be placed undercover at night and kept out of strong sunlight and sprinklers.
  • Containers, particularly plastic bags, should be out of children's reach. Containers should be washed or wiped if found dirty and replaced by something equally suitable if found badly damaged.
