Council is excited to announce that Australian music legend Daryl Braithwaite will be the headline act of this year’s Isa Street Festival.

Daryl is the former lead singer of hit ‘70s Aussie rock band Sherbet and an acclaimed solo performer in his own right, with much-loved and well-known hits including “The Horses”, “One Summer” and “As the Days Go By” to his name.

Most recently, he was one of the performers on the huge Fire Fight Australia Concert, which raised more than $10 million to assist those affected by the recent devastating bushfires and was watched by more than one million people across Australia.

“I am looking forward to coming back to Mount Isa to play, as it’s been quite some time – probably around the Sherbet days. I hope you can all make it to the Festival to enjoy all the music,” Daryl said.

Organised by Mount Isa City Council, this year’s Isa Street Festival and Street Parade will be held on Wednesday, August 5, from 5pm until late, in a portion of the Mount Isa CBD, including West Street between Isa Street and Grace Street, and Rodeo Drive between West Street and Miles Street.

Before Daryl takes to the stage, however, the Street Parade floats and entrants will delight people of all ages as they make their way through the CBD.

The Isa Street Festival will include all of the favourites, including a Sideshow Alley, market stalls, food stalls and street performers.
