The Christmas in the City event is back at the Mount Isa Civic and will be held on Saturday, December 4.

It will be looking a lot like Christmas in Mount Isa when Council’s free Christmas in the City event is held in December, with people able to book their tickets from Monday, November 22.

The event will be held at the Mount Isa Civic Centre on Saturday, December 4.

Free tickets will be available on Council’s website and can be booked by clicking on the 2021 Christmas in the City link at www.mountisa.qld.gov.au/events. Bookings are essential.

At 6pm, locals are welcome to enjoy the Christmas Tree Picnic on the front lawn of the Civic Centre, featuring food and market stalls. The carols will be broadcast outside, and roving entertainment will be provided.

The Christmas Carols will be held in airconditioned comfort indoors in the Civic Centre auditorium from 6.30pm.

It will feature local talent, the Rompin’ Stompin’ kids’ show, and Rockhampton performer Lorinda May Merrypor, who will enchant the audience with well-known and much-loved Christmas carols. Food and market stalls will be available on the Civic Centre grounds during the event.

A visit from Santa will top off the night.

Thank you to our event sponsors Glencore Mount Isa Mines, Mount Isa City Council Owned Enterprises, and Mikkelsens Electrical Contractors.
