Council will shortly be installing four additional truck water fill stations, which will dispense either potable or recycled water and can be used for everything from commercial applications to residential purposes.

The two recycled water fill stations (coloured lilac) will be on Sunset Drive (near the dog park) and at the Sewage Treatment Plant. The two potable water fill stations (coloured green) will be on Duchess Road and on East Street.

The existing overhead standpipes will be decommissioned and removed.

Following the installation, all four fill stations will be commissioned and are expected to be operational from Monday, July 19.

The new water fill stations will feature 100mm camlock connections.

Access to the new fill stations is open to everyone. There will also be a 25mm tap outlet to cater for smaller containers and lower-volume users, such as caravans.

There will be a minimum charge of $1, and payments can be made quickly and conveniently on the spot via credit card.

The cabinets will have clear instructions affixed to them.

Council will no longer be operating monthly accounts for water dispensed from the existing standpipes. This simplifies the operation for everyone and contributes to keeping costs as low as possible.
