Published: 30th April 2021

Council has released its Draft 2021-2022 Budget and is now seeking input and feedback from the community before the final version is released in late June.

Residents and ratepayers are being encouraged to look through the Draft Budget documents by clicking on the “Draft Budget 2021” link at www.mountisa.qld.gov.au, and have their say by going to www.surveymonkey.com/r/DSFDPQV.

The draft documents include statements of cash flow, income and expenditure, and financial position, as well as the proposed 2021-22 capital works budget, cost recovery fees, and commercial fees and charges.

Via the survey, people can also register to attend one of two community information sessions Council will be holding about the Draft Budget.

The sessions will be held in the Council Chambers on:

  • Tuesday, May 4, from 5.30pm-6.30pm; and
  • Thursday, May 13, from 5.30pm-6.30pm.

People have the option of just providing their feedback, or also signing up to come along to an information session.

The Draft Budget will be open to comment until Friday, May 14.

Comments received will be evaluated and, where practicable, incorporated into the Budget, which is set to be handed down on Wednesday, June 23.
