In the market for a bargain? The Mount Isa Tip Shop is officially open.
You can find it at the Waste Management Facility on Jessop Drive. It will be open on Saturdays from 8am-4.30pm.
The items available range from brand-new clothing and used furniture to toys, garden ornaments, outdoor pots, DVDs, books, luggage - and even camping gear and golf clubs.
And if you've got items you'd like to get rid of but which are still in good, usable condition, the tip shop's the ideal place to drop them off.
Speaking at the opening on Thursday, Council's Director of Community Services Chad King said it was an exciting project that was thanks to the hard work of several Council staff.
"This is an exciting opportunity for the team and for Council. I hope the community embrace it and start to use the service," Mr King said.
Mayor Peta MacRae said the tip shop will be a great asset to the community.
