Mount Isa City Council will conduct a public auction of properties for which rates and charges remain unpaid.

The auction will be held at the Civic Centre, Mount Isa, on Tuesday 8 September, Wednesday 9 September and Thursday 10 September, with interested bidders required to arrive from 9:00am to register prior to bidding commencing.

Conducted under the provisions of the Local Government Act, the auction provides an opportunity for members of the public to purchase properties offered for sale by Council.

Prospective bidders are advised that property inspections are not available. Interested parties should carefully read and understand the conditions of sale before attending the auction, as these conditions differ significantly from those associated with a traditional property transaction.

Properties included in the auction are not listed through a real estate agent and cannot be purchased prior to the auction.

A full list of properties currently scheduled for auction, including all Notices of Sale of Land for Overdue Rates or Charges, is available on Council's Public Notices webpage. Council notes that properties may be withdrawn from the sale without notice if outstanding rates and charges are paid before the auction.

Important Notice

Individuals must not trespass onto properties in Council’s local government area, including properties listed on this Public Notices webpage or properties on which auction notices have been affixed by Council.
