Notification of Roadworks - June 2025

The Department of Transport and Main Roads Queensland (TMR) will be undertaking resurfacing works later this month.

The locations are:

• Between the Abel Smith Parade intersection and the Leichhardt River bridge;
•  Between Milne Bay Road and the Moondarra Drive intersections;
•  Railway Avenue, between the Fifteenth Avenue and Grace Street intersections; and
•  Duchess Road, between the Dorothy Street and Transmission Street intersections.

The works will be carried out from Tuesday, June 10, to Thursday, June 19, weather and contractors permitting. It will involve asphalt resurfacing works being undertaken between 6pm and 6am.

Changed traffic conditions will include temporary lane and access closures, speed reductions, traffic control, variable message signage, and road work signage as required.

 The resurfacing works requires the use of heavy machinery to mill the existing road materials. This process will cause noise and vibrations.

 TMR apologises for any disruptions and thank the community for their patience and cooperation during these important works.
