Hundreds of Mount Isa residents took part in this morning's 2025 NAIDOC Street March and MOB FM Family Fun Day outside the Civic Centre and Library.
Council staff were proud to take part in the NAIDOC Street March, which started at 9am at Outback at Isa before making its way along Marian Street and Rodeo Drive and finishing on the Civic Centre's front lawns on West Street just before 10am.
This marked the opening of the MOB FM Family Fun Day, which ran until 4pm and featured live entertainment, information stalls from a range of local organisations and services, as well as food and market stalls.
The opening of the Family Fun Day was emceed by MOB FM's Jacob Takurit. Will Blackley gave the Welcome to Country, and Kalkutungu cultural practitioner Cameron Leon played the didgeridoo. The Sundowners Kalkatungu Dancers also performed.
