About the role:
To assist the City Library in the provision of an efficient and high standard of service to the Library’s clientele to ensure an effective flow of information is provided to the community.
About you:
•Experience working within a library, customer service, community services or public facing environment would be desirable
•Have excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle conflict in an unassuming manner and be solution focused.
•Demonstrated digital and administrative skills including experience using Microsoft Office applications, library management systems such as Libero, and the ability to learn new technologies and digital platforms.
•Ability to work in a small team effectively and share relevant information with other team members.
•A genuine interest in community engagement, literacy support, customer service and public library services.
•Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
•Required to always maintain privacy and confidentiality and the ability to exercise discretion in a professional manner essential.
•Basic numeracy skills.
•The ability to understand Council policies, procedures and information systems.
•Current Working with Children Blue Card or ability to obtain prior to commencement.
•Current QLD “C” class Driver’s Licence or ability to acquire a licence prior to commencing in the role.
