Kerbside Bin Guidelines

Set Out Your Bin:

  • Place your bin out before 6:00 AM on collection day.
  • Ensure the bin is within 1 metre of the kerb, with the lid closed and the wheels facing your property.

Spacing Requirements:

  • Leave at least 1 metre of clearance from other objects (e.g., parked cars, trees, light poles, or letterboxes).
  • Keep bins 50cm apart so the truck arms can access them easily.

Avoid Common Issues:

  • Do not overfill your bin — overflowing bins or bins with rubbish placed next to them will not be collected.
  • Ensure your bin is no heavier than 80kg.
  • If it’s difficult to wheel to the kerbside, it’s likely too heavy for the truck arm to lift.
  • Only dispose of appropriate items to avoid contamination.

After Collection:

  • Bring your bin in as soon as possible after it has been emptied.

If your bin has not been collected, please contact us or call us on (07) 4747 3200 (24 hours).
