Hosting an event locally? Here's what you need from Council:

I will be selling food at the event

You will need a food licence. Click here(PDF, 3MB) to access the Temporary Food Stall Licence Application Pack, or contact Council's Environmental Services team on (07) 4747 3200 or email environment@mountisa.qld.gov.au.

I need more bins for the event

Please contact Council's Waste Management Department on (07) 4747 3200 or email city@mountisa.qld.gov.au to arrange for additional bins to be provided for your event.

I will be selling alcohol at the event

You will need to get Council endorsement prior to the event. Please contact our Development and Land Use section on (07) 4747 3200 or email city@mountisa.qld.gov.au.

The event will be held at a Council-owned facility

We would like to collect beverage containers for refund following an event

Please contact Mount Isa Metal Recyclers directly on (07)4749 1235 or email mimr.vickie@outlook.com to arrange for a green bin with a white lid to be made available for you at the event.

I’m closing a road/footpath or other public space for the event
