A combined three decades of service to the Mount Isa community and to Council have been marked with a special presentation at Council’s Works Depot.

The Years of Service presentation for Council staff members Brett Albert and Colin Shead (Waste Management) and Lachlan Turner (Urban Constructions), who have each worked for Council for 10 years, was held on Thursday, October 8 and attended by CEO Sharon Ibardolaza and Interim CEO David Keenan, along with several other staff members.

Brett Albert started at Council in Local Laws and later moved to Waste Management, where he is now the Leading Hand.

He has proven to be an indispensable member of the Waste Management team and is equally at home on the frontlines of waste facility operations as he is in expeditionary fleet waste services.

Colin Shead is a Waste Management Officer and is known within the Mount Isa community as the friendly face keeping the city streets clean and has displayed a steadfast dedication to his work.

In his element behind the wheel of an Isuzu Loadmaster Elite compactor truck, Colin is self-motivated with the knowledge and experience to get the job done.

Lachlan Turner is a Truck Driver and Labourer for Urban Constructions. He has always taken pride in his work and is well-liked by his workmates.

He loves the bush lifestyle and watching the North Queensland Cowboys play on the big screen.

Ms Ibardolaza congratulated Brett, Colin and Lachlan on their achievements and exemplary years of service with Council and thanked them for the great work they have done in the community.
