Council approved the out-of-rounds sponsorship requests at its July Ordinary Meeting on Wednesday, July 24.
The Northern Outback Business Awards – which are hosted by Commerce North West and will this year be held on November 2 – are an annual awards night that is open to businesses based in North West Queensland.
Its focus is celebrating and showcasing small and medium local businesses that are proving to be successful and are giving back to their communities.
The event is an opportunity for individuals and local businesses to be recognised and celebrated for their excellence and successes.
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Symposium is a free community event being run by the North West Queensland Mental Health Network. It will be held at the Mount Isa Civic Centre on October 10, 2024, as part of Queensland Mental Health Week events.
The focus of the event is information sharing, networking, and collaboration among 25 local mental health and wellbeing service providers that work to benefit the Mount Isa community and the North West, specifically in the areas of mental health, substance use, suicide prevention, and emotional wellbeing. The event will also be open to the public.
