In keeping with its commitment to local businesses, Council is inviting all of its suppliers to register with its new procurement platform, Vendor Panel Marketplace.

For people who would like to know more about the changeover to Vendor Panel and what it will mean for them as suppliers, Council will be holding an information session at the Council Chambers on Thursday, June 3, 2021, from 5.30pm.

Council is streamlining its procurement procedures – including the request-for-quotation (RFQ) and request-for-tender (RFT) process – in line with current State Government regulations and Council policy.

Council has contacted its existing suppliers and asked them to register with Vendor Panel. Suppliers who have not yet registered are encouraged to do so at https://info.vendorpanel.com/workwithmountisacitycouncil.

Business representatives who would like to attend the information session can register by going to www.surveymonkey.com/r/V7WV6VC.

At the session, Council staff will talk about specific Council requirements when it comes to RFQs and RFTs.

Also at the session will be Audrey Dobell from Local Buy, who will provide more information about Local Buy and clear up any misconceptions suppliers may have; Angel Benham from Vendor Panel, who will outline how to register with Vendor Panel; and Graham Locke from the Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning, whose presentation will provide valuable advice about tendering.
