"This truly is a great city to call home and raise a family."
Portfolio: Works and Camooweal
I was born and raised in Bedourie on a cattle property with three brothers. I attended boarding school in Brisbane from Grade 4 and once completed, I went and worked on property before making Mount Isa home in 1984.
I completed an apprenticeship at Bell and Moir Toyota as a Motor Mechanic before starting at Mount Isa Mines in 1988. Once leaving the mines I worked for a local contractor before purchasing Cava Hydraulics in 2003. Since then I have successfully worked with Mount Isa Mines, surrounding mines and local businesses.
My wife Natasha and I have 4 beautiful daughters Danni, Jaymee, Bree and Ashtyn which we have raised here in Mount Isa and believe that this truly is a great city to call home and raise a family.
As well as having played Rugby League for Town Rugby League Club and representative for Mount Isa, I am a life member of Town Rugby League. I have served on many local community boards throughout my time in Mount Isa, notably Town Leagues Club and Migate to name a few and consider myself to be not only a passionate Mount Isan, but also one not afraid to get involved and work hard for a good cause.
I have been fortunate enough to be able to support local clubs and charities throughout my business life and feel extremely proud of achievements we have been able to complete.
I look forward to representing Mount Isa as a Councillor, as I believe that Mount Isa has a bright future I believe I have the passion and vision necessary to make this great city even better.
