Rubbish Collection

Council operates 3 McDonald Johnson side lifter garbage trucks to provide a domestic service twice weekly of 240L wheelie bin size. Services are set to certain days for various areas of the City however these services may change due to public holidays.

Because of the vast distances and high transport costs that recyclables need to travel to the coast for processing, Council currently does not offer kerb side recycling.

Check Garbage Route for when garbage is collected in your area. Note: Mobile Garbage Bins should be placed on footpath by 7:00am on your day of service as some of the runs start early to cover the all the areas.

8:00AM - 5:00PM MONDAY - WEDNESDAY - FRIDAY

8:00AM - 6:00PM TUESDAYS - THURSDAYS - SATURDAYS - SUNDAYS, AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

Entry charges apply to all vehicles and also for the dumping of Car Bodies and the use of the Burial Trench.  For further information, please contact the Council’s Customer Services on 47473200.
