Mount Isa City Council Sponsorship, Funding & Grants Policy

Mount Isa City Council approved this policy at the council meeting held 2nd February 2011.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Applications must be addressed as follows in order to be assessed:

The new policy outlines 2 distinct funding rounds per year.

February each year,

and August each year.

It is envisaged that this new system will simplify the sponsorship, funding & grants procedure... as well as the application process.

Applications must be received in the appropriate format. This new format is a simple pro forma, with applicants filling in the blanks in order to apply.

Discussions were held as part of the Council Meeting on the 16th March 2011.

Letters Of Support In Principle

Organisations requesting a letter of support from the Mount Isa City Council should email communications@mountisa.qld.gov.au.

Applicants must attach a document containing a 'draft version' of the text required in the letter of support. This ensures that any letter from the Mount Isa City Council, if provided, will address all pertinent issues.

This 'draft version' will be considered by the Mount Isa City Council, and alterations to the text may be made if required. Once / if approved, the applicant will be advised of their success and an official copy on council letterhead will be provided.

Please allow up to five working days to receive a response to your application from the Mount Isa City Council.

Please note:

The intention of Letters of Support in Principle are for the purpose of funding / application processes only and do not constitute automatic council approval for the project as a whole. It is suggested that any applicant requesting a Letter of Support in Principle contact the Mount Isa City Council to ensure notification of, and compliance with, any necessary approval requirements or costs that their project / event may incur.
