The Mount Isa City Council allocates an extra 50 kilolitres of water per year to each household for the maintenance of the area between the kerb/concrete footpath and the property line by the owner/occupier of the adjacent property.
Before undertaking any works on a footpath an application must be lodged with Council.
It is strongly recommended that the location of Council underground services, such as water, sewer and stormwater be determined and a Dial Before You Dig search (dial 1100) is conducted for other underground services prior to commencing.
Any damage to these services is the responsibility of property owner/occupier.
Maintenance of long grass, the surface of the path area and trees on the footpath are the responsibility of the owner/ occupier of the property.
