Environmental Health

Council's Environmental Health Department administers the following issues according to Environmental Protection Act 1994 and Dangerous Goods Safety Management Act 2001.

  • Environmental Relevant Activities (ERA) Registration
  • Flammable and Combustible Liquids Licencing
  • Waste Management Works
  • Environmental Nuisance

Environmentally Relevant Activities (ERA)

Businesses that are planning to operate or have been operating one or more Environmentally Relevant Activities must hold a Certificate of Registration.

The Certificate holder has to submit an Annual Return every year before the expiry date.

Only those Environmentally Relevant Activities that are devolved to be administered by Local Government can be applied for at Mount Isa City Council.
