Online Computer Training Resource
thecomputerschool.net is an online computer training organisation that specialises in easy-access online computer education.
The Computer Skills Index link contains hundreds of comprehensive computer training tutorials, with more continually being added.
Tutorials include full colour, easy-to-follow screen-shots with step-by-step instructions covering an extensive and varied range of entry-level "How do I?" learning topics.
To use this valuable resource, click on the above mentioned link and;
a) From the drop down menu (in the Log-in Box) select Skills Index
b) Enter the following; Username: member4747
Password: member
c) Then click GO

AUSTRALIA/NEW ZEALAND REFERENCE CENTRE
Provides the full text of Australian and international magazines and newspapers. Magazines include Bulletin, PC World, Money, Belle, Woman's Day, Golf, Macworld, Men's Health, Time (Australia), Wheels. International magazines include Economist, History Today, Women in Business, Forbes, Fortune, Internet World, New Scientist, Physics Today, New Internationalist. Also includes reference books and company information.

ENCYCLOPAEDIA BRITANNICA ONLINE
The complete Encyclopaedia Britannica online. A reference site for students, educators, and parents, it includes editorially reviewed websites and the Encyclopaedia Britannica.

HEALTH & WELLNESS RESOURCE CENTRE
Up-to-date, authoritative full-text health information from journals and reference titles. An extensive database of reliable information on health, medicine and medications.

NEWSBANK
NewsBank provides instant access to current and archived full-text articles from more than 200 local, Queensland, Australian and international newspapers. NewsBank covers local events, politics, cultural activities, business, art, economics, environment and sport. Research a topic or issue, locate an obituary or browse specific newspapers by date.

PROQUEST SCIENCE JOURNALS
A collection of scientific journals in full text and image formats, covering a wide variety of subjects within the sciences. Subjects include chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, transportation, astronomy, biology, Earth sciences, and more.

THE SHAKEPEARE COLLECTION
Resources include editions and adaptations of Shakespear's works, other works published during Shakespeare's times, prompt books, the Gordon Crosse Theatrical Diaries, criticism, reviews, images and references.

TUMBLEBOOKS
Ebooks for kids. An online collection of animated, talking picture books. Read or listen to storybooks online, write a book review and play games.
AUSTRALIAN NEWSPAPERS - BETA
The BETA service is freely available to the public and currently contains 73,000 out of copyright newspaper pages (approx 730,000 individual articles) from 1803 onwards. The Courier Mail 1846-1899 and 1933-34 is the Queensland content being made available as the first stage of the project which is being federally funded at $8,000,000 over four years. It is expected to be formally launched by NLA in 2009.
