Membership
How to become a member
Any resident of the City of Mount Isa may become a member of the Library. There is no age limit and no cost involved. Your only obligation is to present suitable proof of identity and local address.
A temporary restricted membership is available to non-residents. You must present suitable proof of identity and home address.
Borrowing Allowance
Full membership entitles you to borrow up to 15 items at one time. All items, including toys, are included in this 15 item allocation. Temporary members are entitled to borrow up to 5 items at a time.
Period of Loan
Items are loaned for a period of 2 weeks. Provided there are no other people waiting for items you have loaned out, you may renew your loans online using the library catalogue, by phoning 47473350, or visiting the Library in person.
Overdue Fines
Please be considerate of other Library users and return items by the due date. Overdue fines are charged at the rate of $1.00 per item per day. Regular contributions towards the payment of fines are accepted. Failure to return overdue items will result in the removal of your borrowing rights. If the items are not too overdue and there are no other people waiting for them, you are welcome to renew your loans online using the library catalogue, by phoning 4747 3350, or visiting the Library in person.
