New Year's Eve Rodeo Party 2016
Mount Isa City Council is a proud sponsor of this year's New Years Eve Rodeo Party, to be held at Buchanan Park on December 31st, from 5pm. The event will feature all the thrills and spills of the Rodeo events we have come to know and love, as well as live entertainment from local bands.
Fireworks will delight the crowds at both 9am and midnight, to cater for families as well as those who wish to see the new year in.
Partnering with the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services Community Drought Support Package, Council have been able to heavily subsidise the event cost, meaning very affordable entry for the whole community.
To help our fellow residents in Camooweal and outlying properties who have felt the ongoing effect of drought, a bus will be provided to transport them to and from the Rodeo Party with free of charge entry. More details to be provided in the near furure.
Mayor Joyce McCulloch said she was delighted that Council and the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services were able to sponsor the event and make it an all inclusive celebration for the community.
"It was very important to us when looking at the event that it was going to be priced so that everyone could afford to come along and enjoy the event," Cr McCulloch said.
"It does cost a lot to put this type of event together, so with our sponsporship, working together with Apra, Isa Rodeo, and MIETV, this is going to be a wonderful event, and I hope to see the whole community come together and enjoy it."
Entry is $10 for adults, $5 children, Family $30 (2 adults, 3 children).
