Countdown to Isa Street Festival - 27th July 2016
The biggest CBD event of the year is happening this Wednesday night, and it’s shaping up to be bigger and better than ever before.
The Isa Street Festival, last year attracting an estimated crowd of 3000, is this year boasting more stalls, free children’s activities, interactive street art installations and displays, live music featuring X Factor’s Big T and band, and a fireworks display at 9pm.
Find the Council marquee and fill out the community survey to go in the draw for $1000 cash cheque.
Mayor Joyce McCulloch said the second annual Isa Street Festival was supported by Council, Queensland Government Drought Support Package, MIETV, Mount Isa Rotary Rodeo, and Isa Hotel, and was created to bring the community together to celebrate Mount Isa at rodeo time.
“It is always such a wonderful time in Mount Isa, and we want the community to celebrate together and enjoy their city in this special way,” Cr McCulloch said.
The Isa Street Festival will be held on Wednesday August 10 from 6pm to 9.30pm. This will be a no alcohol event.
