Council rates issued this week - 16th August 2016
Mount Isa City Council half-yearly rates notices will be dispatched on August 19 this week.
More than 7000 rate assessment notices will be issued and are due for payment by September 19.
Rates can be paid quickly and conveniently online at Council’s website www.mountisa.qld.gov.au using PayWay Net, or by using the new and convenient 24 hour automated service for credit card payments on 1300 885 175.
Alternatively, payment can be made through BPAY, payment at any Australia Post office, and by phone or mail or you can pay in person at the Council office, 23 West Street.
Mayor Joyce McCulloch said anyone having difficulty paying their rates should contact Council as soon as possible to discuss a payment plan.
“We understand that there may be circumstances that require special attention and we have procedures in place to assist people when they need it,” Cr McCulloch said.
“However, it is vital that you contact Council promptly, if you feel you may need this assistance.”
Any property owner who has not received their half yearly rates notice by August 26 should contact Council to obtain a copy.
