Library leaps into new LIBERO Cloud system
Current and future Mount Isa Library members will be more connected to the facility than ever before after the new system LIBERO Cloud is activated.
The hosted system LIBERO Cloud means less technical management of the system, giving Library staff more time to focus on community engagement and library programs.
Mayor Joyce McCulloch said the Library was one of the most important community hubs for leaning and innovation, and was delighted with the new system.
“The staff are happy and enthusiastic about the new system, and it will allow for community engagement through SMS, so that itself is a huge step forward,” Cr McCulloch.
“This council is embracing change and innovation, and we’re delighted to see this system implemented.”
The transition period for Libero Cloud is from today, Friday November 9 and it is expected to continue through to Wednesday November 14
Patrons Library cards will not change - their current Library card and card number stay the same. The Library requests patrons - to bring their Library card with them during the transition, if possible. Their PIN will automatically change, however, patrons will be able to change that after the transition.
The library will remain open for business as usual and we thank patrons for their patience throughout the transition.
