Jean Ferris
My name is Jean Ferris. I arrived in Mount Isa in 1971. I have raised 3 Sons, have 2 grandchildren and another on the way. I have been apart of Council for 18 years and was elected to in 1990.
During my time with Council I have been actively involved in many areas of the community such as youth affairs, sanitation, the adult literacy program MICAL, the Mount Isa City Council Library, the Regional Arts Development Fund, Mega Day Out Events and the Hair & Fashion Extravaganza.
I the past four years I have also been very active on the Council’s Beautification Committee. I am passionate about Mount Isa and eager to see it become the beautiful city everyone knows it is.
I have shown passion and dedication to Mount Isa and the Council for many years and I will continue to do so to the best of my ability.
