Your Council
Local Government is facing ever-increasing demands for accountability and competitiveness.
Mount Isa City Council is taking unprecedented steps to meet these demands by aligning all of our services with a simple philosophy of professional consistency in meeting customer expectations.
This means that in all of our dealings, both internally and with our external customers, we must be aware of the expectations that we create, communicate them effectively and ensure that the expectations are fully met. Wherever they can’t be, it is Council's responsibility to re-negotiate them with the customer/s and to ensure that we take all possible action to eliminate the base cause of the problems or delays.
Mount Isa City Council's Corporate Plan identifies a clear direction for the City over the next five years (2005-2010). It determines our long-term directions and is the main reference point of our annual resourcing decisions.
The Corporate Plan outlines Council’s vision and values.
Council's Operational Plan is developed to provide specific policies and actions for each strategy and process taking into account external constraints. These plans will detail resource allocation, responsibilities and timeframes for each area of the organisation.
