I was born and raised in Mount Isa and have lived here all my life. I completed a butchering apprenticeship then went to work in the mines for 26 years before my wife and I bought a local butcher shop which has developed into two shops. We have 5 children and 6 grandchildren between us.
My hobbies include Pistol Shooting, Fishing & Camping.
I was asked if I wanted to join The Peoples Group and run for councillor and as I am very passionate about the progression and people of Mount Isa, I readily agreed to be a part of Council.
Important Issues for me as a Councillor:

Reasonably priced land with realistic covenants' for average homeowners to build on.

Unsupervised groups of juveniles walking the streets late at night and breaking into properties.

Riverbed dwellers rubbishing the water ways.

Street lighting, kerbing, channelling and pot holes in roadways

Update existing infrastructure

I would like to see Mount Isa join he Tidy Towns competition and get the public to take pride in the beautification of their City.
